Amarcord is a production company for film and tv-productions run by producer, director and screenwriter Thomas Robsahm. Robsahm has produced more than fifty films including The Worst Person in the World, Thelma and Louder Than Bombs by Joachim Trier, Hope by Maria Sødahl, a-ha The Movie by Thomas Robsahm  and The Angel by Margreth Olin.

The films have been in competition at festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Tribeca and Sundance. Louder Than Bombs won the Nordic Council Film Award in 2015 and Hope was nominated to two European Film Awards and was on the Oscar shortlist in 2021. Both Louder Than Bombs and The Worst Person in the World where selected for the main competition in Cannes (2015 and 2021).

Amarcord has co-produced the films Hope by Maria Sødahl (main producer Motlys, 2019), The Worst Person in the World by Joachim Trier (main producer Oslo Pictures, 2021), a-ha The Movie by Thomas Robsahm (main producer Motlys, 2021), Trust me by Emil Trier (main producer Motlys, 2021), and short films Wild Horses by Simon Tillaas, What We Fear by Lilja Ingolfsdottir and Bedbugs by Marlene Lyngstad (main producer Oslo Pictures, 2020/2021).

In 2023 Amarcord will release «Dancing Queen» by Aurora Gossé which was chosen for Generation at Berlinale.

REGIONAL PRODUCTION

Amarcord aims to produce films and tv-series in the Norwegian region Innlandet. We see a lot of potential in the region and want to share stories that are located outside the capital of Oslo. The first production will be the family film «Dancing Queen», opening in the spring of 2023.
